Dancer Responding to AIDS hosts “Stars of Tomorrow”
DRA’s Stars of Tomorrow… Giving Back Today events are dance invitationals in which dance schools perform at professional venues alongside concert dance companies and Broadway stars in order to raise money for performers suffering from HIV/AIDS. By selling tickets to the event each school has a way of contributing and raising funds for such a need cause.

Now in its 15th year, our festival features over 250 talented youth from throughout New York City, and professional host artists. Sharing with the Masters students at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Dance Education
Every year the Ensemble is invited to participate in a performance followed by a round table with the Masters of Dance Education students of NYU. Through these performances and discussions the Ensemble teaches the masters students about how a non-for-profit professional kids company is ran in New York City. We hope that these introductions to the Ensemble’s outreach work will spark new companies throughout the world that follow the same blue prints and ideals.
Winter Ballet Series
This year Peridance will be presenting “The Nutcracker”, a 50 minute Ballet featuring dancers from the Peridance Youth Ensemble, Core Ballet Program, Certificate Program, students and parents from our PeriChild Program and dancers from Peridance’s Open School. This 50 minutes contemporary Ballet will be created and produced by Peridance Capezio Center’s Artisitc Director, Igal Perry.
Performance scheduled for this December 2010.
Spring Fundraiser
The Spring Fundraiser is our annual fundraiser hosted by the Peridance Youth Ensemble. This is a unique event where the Ensemble can showcase their season’s works along with their own choreography along side several young professional companies from the tri-state area and several New York City professional companies. This event is a great opportunity for young aspiring dancers to work alongside already working professional dancers in a well-rounded and diverse exploration of dance.
Past presenters have been;
New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble, Harkness Repertory Ensemble, Dancewave Company, BAXco, Steffi Nossen Company, Limon Professional Studies Program, de funes dance company, Anabella Lenzu/DanceDrama, Battleworks, Igal Perry, Contemporary Moves, Damast & Dancers, Sean Curran Company and many more…
